Meet Mia:

I completed my Bachelor of Speech Pathology in 2012 at JCU and since then have worked full time gaining over 12 years of clinical experience.

My experience includes:

  • working largely with children, but also with adults,

  • working for government health services & public hospitals,

  • working within the not-for-profit sector & in private practice,

  • lectures for CQ University Speech Pathology on the topic of hearing,

  • post graduate study in Health Services Management,

  • Circle of Security Parenting Facilitator training,

  • Previous Listening and Spoken Language Specialist Certification in Auditory-Verbal Therapy.

Supporting children with hearing impairment is my strongest clinical interest & passion.

This is also the field where most of my years of experience have been gained. I have previously completed my Listening and Spoken Language Certification in Auditory-Verbal Therapy after successfully demonstrating competence in the knowledge and practice skills required to guide a family of a child with hearing impairment in the development of listening and spoken language. I also have years of experience working with children with other developmental and communication needs.

I am committed to providing professional & supportive services to help clients achieve their goals.

On a personal note…

I moved to CQ in 2020 & am very happily staying here for the long run having met the love of my life, now my husband, who is a Yeppoon local, born and raised.
